A slender ribbon of ink drifts between sun-kissed swells and emerald tides, pausing on a single glint of gold.
Inspiration:
In Novocumulus 17, soft washes of teal and sandy beige cascade like tidal currents, their edges feathered with inky blurs and scattered copper flecks that evoke distant embers. A vertical band of fine, gray striations threads through two amorphous forms, guiding the eye toward a lone gold-leaf sunburst. Whisper-thin contour lines trace hidden ridges and valleys, inviting a moment of calm discovery as shapes float in gentle balance between stillness and drift.

The process
In order to create captivating textures and bold contrasts, I frequently blend watercolor with other mediums like ink, acrylic, gouache, dry pigment, and even gold leaf. This mixed-media technique enhances the visual depth of my artwork and introduces layers of complexity, pushing the boundaries of traditional watercolor methods.
